We are Chris and Rowena, a faith-driven couple adjusting to our new lifestyle, staying connected to family, fired up to travel, and making time to monitor our online business while enjoying sunsets, sunrises, the outback and coastal landscapes, the incredible wildlife, some amazing wildflowers, and the rain we will no doubt have to shelter from and avoid the storms across Australia.

Over the last 2 years, we have been doing shakedown trips in the Wheatbelt of WA. We are currently upgrading our setup from a 2011 Ford Wildtrak to a 200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser, and from an OPUS OP4 TLX Camper trailer to a 16 ft Mars Cruiser FHR Caravan, for our Big Lap Trip across Australia.

For more than 4 decades, we have worked in ministry, business, sales, leadership development, and mentoring. Along the way, we've celebrated victories, made mistakes, overcome challenges, and learned that some of life's greatest lessons happen when you slow down enough to listen.

Chris & Rowena Travels was created so we could document our plans and bring them to life. This is more than a travel blog. It's our journey of faith, friendship, adventure, learning and living with purpose.

We are Perth-based Christians who refuse retirement and have a renewed purpose for:

• Doing things differently. (There's nothing in the Bible about retirement)

• More adventure for our marriage and family.

• Overcoming and enjoying caravan and camping adventures.

• Deepening our faith, following and sharing Jesus.

• Building meaningful relationships with strangers.

• Developing our personal growth and lifelong learning.

• Monitoring our online business projects.

• Helping others discover their purpose and freedom.

Our Christian faith is central to who we are.

Everything we do is grounded in our relationship with Jesus Christ and our desire to live lives that honour Him.

Our marriage has grown from glory to glory over 37 years, with each year bringing something fresh and new.

At "Chris and Rowena Travels", we believe church is more than a building—it is a community of believers growing together in Christ. As we travel Australia, we remain committed to staying connected with God's people through fellowship, prayer, worship, communion, and the teaching of God's Word.

In December 2024, Pastor Kierohn, the Leadership Team, and the congregation at Covenant Life Church sent us out to support our vision for what is now known as "Chris and Rowena Travels."

We were honoured that the church sent us out to follow what the Lord was showing us. They are great cheerleaders who are always keen to hear feedback on our progress. We catch up with everyone from time to time whenever we can.

Pastor Kierohn Sims grew up in Auckland, New Zealand, where he gained his theological degree. Starting as a youth pastor, Kierohn's desire to fulfil the Lord's work grew. God opened a door for Pastor Kierohn, his wife Danel and son Michael to move to WA, Australia.

In 2024, Pastor Kierohn stepped into a new role as Senior Pastor of Covenant Life Church. They have since given birth to their new baby.

Covenant Life Church is located at 33 Wallington Road, Balga, WA. The church has a strong outreach connection with the local schools and members of the community.

It wasn't long after we were prayed out from Covenant Life Church that we began to connect with Pastors Gavin and Karen Stuckey. They are the pastors of "Church Gathering Online."

Gavin and Karen Stuckey are passionate about seeing the Church reflect the New Testament model—on earth as it is in heaven. Together, they carry a deep love for God’s people and a vision for authentic, Spirit-led community.

Based in regional South Australia, Gavin and Karen are blessed with three wonderful children, two dearly loved in-laws, and five beautiful grandchildren. They enjoy travelling across Australia, often referred to as “the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit.”

Both Gavin and Karen have completed Bible College training in Adelaide and have faithfully served in a range of leadership roles within the Church over many years. Their heart is to encourage, equip, and see the Body of Christ grow in unity, maturity, and mission.

All Christians need to remain anchored in our faith, and this is one way we do it.

Living full-time in a caravan, seeing the stars at night, and enjoying the outback and coastal landscape makes for a great backdrop for our devotionals.

It's like the Bible comes alive in more ways than one.
